The truth

It's interesting what unfolds within a few hours.

Baltimore charged Medicare $11,700. NOT $20,000.

Friday, Baltimore said they would give me 50% off and do surgery for $10,000.

Baltimore called me back today. I told them they charged 11,700, not 20K. They said they knew.

They also added that it will be an additional $3,000 for EACH nerve in the brain they have to work on. Want to do the math on that? By the way there are 12...pairs.

They will not take a payment plan. If we were to try to come up with that, I wouldn't be alive any more by the time we had it. There are too many other medical bills to pay already!

Whatever happened to just being honest? After them having treated me so well in December, I feel so hurt and disappointed by Baltimore. Nobody should be treated like this.

"Mister Cellophane"
Chicago

If someone stood up in a crowd
And raised his voice up way out loud
And waved his arm and shook his leg
You'd notice him

If someone in the movie show
Yelled "Fire in the second row
This whole place is a powder keg!"
You'd notice him

And even without clucking like a hen
Everyone gets noticed, now and then,
Unless, of course, that personage should be
Invisible, inconsequential me!

Cellophane
Mister Cellophane
Shoulda been my name
Mister Cellophane
'Cause you can look right through me
Walk right by me
And never know I'm there...

I tell ya
Cellophane
Mister Cellophane
Shoulda been my name
Mister Cellophane
'Cause you can look right through me
Walk right by me
And never know I'm there...

Suppose you was a little cat
Residin' in a person's flat
Who fed you fish and scratched your ears?
You'd notice him

Suppose you was a woman, wed
And sleepin' in a double bed
Beside one man, for seven years
You'd notice him

A human being's made of more than air
With all that bulk, you're bound to see him there
Unless that human bein' next to you
Is unimpressive, undistinguished
You know who...

Cellophane
Mister Cellophane
Shoulda been my name
Mister Cellophane
'Cause you can look right through me
Walk right by me
And never know I'm there...

I tell ya
Cellophane
Mister Cellophane
Shoulda been my name
Mister Cellophane
'Cause you can look right through me
Walk right by me
And never know I'm there
Never even know I'm there.

Hope I didn't take up too much of your time.

  1. I know in the midst of blinding rage at the insurance company ~ not seeing any way through this ~ know that there is a way. This is the perfect opportunity to throw your hands up in the air (gently of course :)) and lean on God to bring out some miracles. Let Him use this situation ~ move mountains for you. I will keep you in my prayers ~ prayers for an open window when all the doors are closed. Hugs ~ Lace

  3. Isn't it illegal to NOT accept payments? Something just doesn't sound right on their end about that. Like Lace said, I'll keep you in my prayers, too. ~Leslie

  4. Unfortunately they can refuse to treat all they want. It's unfair, unethical, and disgustingly greedy, but legal.

My family appreciates the prayers. Thanks so much.
