Head Injuries & Hospitals

It's been a long couple of days. As has been pointed out to me by a friend, apparently I have some sort of hang-up about holidays (remember the 4th of July ruptured appendix?).

Two days ago on Easter morning, I had one of my typical-of-late doozy of a dizzy spell. I leaned up against the kitchen counter separating it from the living room and thought if I'd just go sit in my recliner, that it would pass.

Next thing, I'm on the floor. My husband says the back of my head bouncing on our concrete floor sounds like thumping a coconut. Slowly but surely my pain worsened terribly and when I developed pressure and stabbing pain behind my left eye, I went to the ER.

Long story short, about all I know is I have a concussion, a closed head injury, and POTS issues.

Why exactly it happened, who knows. The dizziness has been out of hand for over a week but today it's not quite as bad.

  2. Keesha,

I'm so sorry to hear about your fall. I know the feeling all too well. I always wonder why hitting the back of my head gives me a sharp pain in my eye. Rest well, and take as much time as you need. Be well.
