I'm a finalist

I was entered in a contest for a TV program. It's for America's Favorite Mom. I'm in the finals, having been called by the producer to move me forward. I'll know more by the end of the month (whether or not they're putting me through to the TV show).

There is still online voting going on for some of the prizes, which includes money. God knows we could use that, having thousands in debt from medical bills. I have solely Medicare, which is an 80/20, leaving us to pay 20% of all surgeries, fees, whatever. Brain surgeries are not cheap, costing hundreds of thousands for each. Not that my other surgeries were cheap other.

Now, being in need of another brain surgery, I'm left no choice but to seriously consider not doing it.

Is that really a choice? It's disgusting to be in this position. Isn't this America, where we should have access and be able to receive the care we need?

Guess not.

Anyway, sorry for the ramble. My question is if you could take a moment and vote for me if you are willing. People are allowed to vote daily. I need this help, desperately, and am not too proud to beg given the circumstances.

Thank you!

  1. I voted for you. 80/20 is all they can do for you, huh? That program doesn't have a catastrophic cap? That sucks. I've noticed that all the programs designed by the government for people who HONESTLY need financial help because insane medical bills wiped them out AREN'T QUITE GOOD ENOUGH. I think, if they are going to help us out, they need to do it all the way and not just half-ass it like the government always does!

  2. Hey Keesha, I wrote a post about you to send some of my reader's votes to you! I hope it helps!
