a dark place

I can't really convey any of my feelings into words right now. It's very jumbled, all related to what's coming up and why, and I guess I'll leave it at that.

I'm listening to Salvador's "This is My Life."

Take this night and make it something special
Let me be so bold to ask for Your ear
Take this place and fill it with Your presence
We will wait, wait for You right here
This is all I have, but it's all You ask of me

This is my life, this is my soul
I give it to you, no matter the cost
This is my heart, it seeks after You
Lord help me love, more like You do
This is my life

Take my world of simple misconceptions
Nothing here will ever truly satisfy my soul
Brokenness is traded for redemption
It's Your hands that never let me go
This is all I have, but it's all I'll ever need

This is my life, this is my soul
I give it to you, no matter the cost
This is my heart, it seeks after You
Lord help me love, more like You do
This is my life

Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art.
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art.

This is my life, this is my soul
I give it to you, no matter the cost
This is my heart, it seeks after You
Lord help me love, more like You do
This is my life

Take this night and make it something special.

  1. I pray that you feel His presence right where you are at. May you see His Light even when things seem their darkest.

    I will hold you up and walk with you in prayer.

    God bless you richly.

  2. There is great comfort and solace in the words of the great old hymns. There were times in church where all I could do during worship was read the hymnal. It was what brought me the greatest comfort. Be Thou My Vision, Oh The Deep Deep Love of Jesus, His Eye is On the Sparrow,

    The King Of Love My Shepherd Is
    Whose goodness faileth never;
    I nothing lack if I am his,
    And he is mine forever

    Where streams of living water flow,
    My ransomed soul he leadeth,
    And where the verdant pastures grow,
    With food celestial feedeth.

    Perverse and foolish oft I strayed,
    But yet in love he sought me,
    And on his shoulder gently laid,
    And home, rejoicing brought me

    In death's dark vale I fear no ill
    With thee, dear Lord, beside me;
    Thy rod and staff my comfort still,

    Thy cross before to guide me.
    Thou spread'st a table in my sight;
    Thy unction grace bestoweth;
    And O what transport of delight
    From thy pure chalice floweth!

    And so through all the length of days
    Thy goodness faileth never:
    Good Shepherd, may I sing thy praise
    Within thy house for ever

    Peace be with you,

    Betsy
