Christmas

I hope everyone had a blessed, happy, healthy Christmas! My parents are in town visiting, which has been really nice. The kids are having a fabulous time, even asking for homework now and then to work on. I'm so grateful to have pretty good kids. They get persnickety now and again but certainly nothing major, and I know testing here and there is how they learn limits and discipline in life.

This week I have spoken with my dad in Virginia, my baby sister, my sister-in-law, and grandparents back home in Florida. My grandpa's birthday was Christmas Eve. He had such a bad couple of years after falling out of that tree. He had 3 blood transfusions recently and sounds so great! He is able to walk through the yard with a cane and minimal assistance. He uses the scooter to roam the neighborhood and socialize. Thank God for him still being here against all odds!

I am happy to share I am putting finishing touches on my book about life with Chiari and the rest. I am determining what I would like on the cover in terms of graphics, which is the only big thing left. I'll share more details here when it's all set and ready to go.

Happy New Year everyone! It's really been a pleasure meeting so many people through this website and also seeing those who drop by. Please do leave a comment and introduce yourself. It's amazing to see what region visitors are from, and how these disorders really can unite us regardless of where we are located. So, that said, thank you to my friends from not only the USA but also my visitors from South Africa, India, Uruguay, Chile, Peru, Brazil, Venezuela, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Canada, Haiti, Korea, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Kuala Lumpur, Thailand, Pakistan, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Ireland, Poland, Romania, Austria, Serbia, Saudi Arabia, Greece, Turkey, and Israel--thanks again! (And my apologies to anyone whose country I missed!)
